My output through the years and with varying materials, has been motivated by an aim to render a glimpse into ultimates, with a desire to share a real sense of hope for the long view.
The ground we stand on, and all the world around us is broken. You’ll see that suggested with scratchy lines, the heaviness of gravity and shadow. These things give context. But this dimness is often abrupted with an intervention — some dash of beauty. And that surprising quality is not something I can corral, or control. I am in a working duet with something far grander than my own tools can articulate. Real confidence and beauty come from outside us, available and sometimes even shining. This is the pursuit… and it is why I keep on looking to mark it down.
Visitors can here investigate these themes as I have considered them. Also, on my blog are short explorations into a current idea, gallery visit, most recent work or personal musings.
